Tips to get the optimal New Bern rental home experience:
When to visit & When to book:
- In the New Bern area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are high season in the New Bern area. To find the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular New Bern attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many management companies supply New Bern area travel guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself.
