The downstairs deck is outfitted with a sizable enclosed hot/cold shower, ample outdoor seating as well as a huge picnic table, and a privacy partition. As a south-facing property, you'll savor striking sunrises and sunsets from the upper and lower decks as well as the dune deck at the far end of the walkway which directly overlooks the beach, ideal for appreciating that million-dollar view while sitting and sipping your favorite drink without getting sand in your toes. We are on the very BEST part of the island, on the five thousand block with Publix groceries at the eight thousand block, Surfs Up and Bogue Inlet fishing pier just three miles away, tons of eateries and shopping, and just a few miles from the Aquarium and Atlantic Beach attractions!

Strategies for getting the perfect Emerald Isle rental experience:
Get the most from your rental budget:
- In the New Bern area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Emerald Isle. Book your New Bern vacation in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local New Bern visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain deals for local tours and attractions.
How to choose the best vacation home in the New Bern area:
- Begin by choosing your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. OCEANFRONT HALF DUPLEX SLEEPS 9 w 4 BDRMS, 3 ARE OCEANVIEW! BEST PART OF E ISLE has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, email the property owner before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
Tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few problems.
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- Document any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a great time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
