How to find the best Atlantic Beach rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Atlantic Beach. To book the largest rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local New Bern area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides have offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Finding the best vacation home in the New Bern area:

  • Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. SeaSpray 214, Oceanfront Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property owner before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
  • Document any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great stay? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
