This is a great home for a private family visit or gatherings of a mature group of friends. It is NOT a event home as it is located within a very peaceful community.

Guests will have access to the entire home with the exception of storage space underneath the home.

We will be available via text or messaging through the app. Otherwise you probably won't meet us.

VERY QUIET residential beach community (please respect our neighbors who very much savor the peaceful :) Exit the driveway, take a right, and walk 2 mins. south and you're on our handsome beach! You can also rent a bicycle and head to town which is a very short ride.

The home is located in the best location possible on Emerald Isle, down the preferred Coast Guard Road section, the first turn after coming onto the beach from the mainland. This location accepts for painless arrival and departure when everybody else is fighting the 2 mile long log jam to pick up/drop off keys from local real estate firms in town.

Come enjoy our excellent beach and private pool! House comes with WiFi connection and intelligent TV's......50" in Living Room and (2) 32" versions in each of the two Queen bedrooms. Although we provide bath towels, we do not provide beach towels, so would ask that you bring your own to use. We can normally accommodate guests with beach chairs. If you require the use of beach chairs, let us know and we'll leave them out for you.

Vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

When to book & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the best value, try shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local New Bern visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Why Knot Getaway. Emerald Isle Oasis has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our New Bern rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before booking the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's a particular New Bern destination you crave, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.

More considerations:

  • Add the host's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Record any issues with the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to compel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
