Getting the best Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Book your vacation home in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area visitors guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, picking, and booking your prefectrental home:

  • Choose your vacation dates and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Dunescape Villas 146, Oceanfront Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the host before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
