Strategies to get the perfect Atlantic Beach vacation home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- In the New Bern area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. To book the largest rental home for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular New Bern attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area travel guides that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Barefoot Beach Club North: Your Beachside Haven has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what is best for your trip.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
During your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- To make certain that no damages are attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas during arrival. text the host immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to drive new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
