About this Property

  • 2 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home

We are "locals" in Emerald Isle, and pleased to host your family vacation in our comfortable oceanfront home. Whether you are looking for a charming hideaway, a fun gathering place for the family, or an impressive fishing destination, Sea Star is the place to be! This impressive sea bungalow features two separate sides for individual families, or you may book both sides for sizable groups!

Each side sleeps 9 guests in 4 cavernous bedrooms, and each side has two full baths, one downstairs and one upstairs. Kitchens have full amenities, and the cozy furnishings & breezy colors bring the essence of the seashore inside! Each side has 3 huge flat-screen TVs with Spectrum TV cable and high-speed internet.

In addition to being just steps from the surf, Sea Star features million-dollar vistas from both deck-levels. You will appreciate hours of relaxation on the broad decks below, and some upstairs bedrooms offer sliding glass doors with a deck, tall viewing chairs and unmatched vistas of the shining sands and crystal water. Sip a glass of wine from the upper deck as the sun sets, then create a masterpiece in the kitchen - with newly-caught local seafood, of course!

This listing is for Sea Star East (Vacation Rental By Owner #1091861). Look for availability in Sea Star West (Vacation Rental By Owner #1145098) to double your occupancy options at Sea Star, or if Sea Star East is not available for your preferred dates. We also have a full-home listing for Sea Star if you plan a bigger family vacation, and would like to book the whole home at one time (Vacation Rental By Owner #1193146).

Tips to get the perfect Emerald Isle rental experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local New Bern area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Filter your search:

  • To start, have your family commit to vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. OCEANFRONT 4 BR\/2 BA 1\/2 duplex with stunning views! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
