Whether you are looking for a charming hideaway, a fun gathering place for the family, or an appealing fishing destination, Sea Star is the place to be! This handsome sea bungalow features two separate sides for individual families, or you may book both sides for sizable groups!

Each side sleeps 9 guests in 4 cavernous bedrooms, and each side has two full baths, one downstairs and one upstairs. Kitchens have full amenities, and the cozy furnishings & breezy colors bring the essence of the seashore inside! Each side has 3 enormous flat-screen TVs with Spectrum TV cable and high-speed internet.

In addition to being just steps from the surf, Sea Star features million-dollar vistas from both deck-levels. You will appreciate hours of relaxation on the broad decks below, and some upstairs bedrooms offer sliding glass doors with a deck, tall viewing chairs and unmatched vistas of the shining sands and crystal water. Sip a glass of wine from the upper deck as the sun sets, then create a masterpiece in the kitchen - with newly-caught local seafood, of course!

Tricks and tips to get the very best vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. Booking your New Bern vacation home in Fall or Spring is a good way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.

How to choose and book a perfect New Bern rental:

  • Choose dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. OCEANFRONT 4 BR\/2 BA 1\/2 duplex with stunning views! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, email the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your stay, note any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
