Finding the best New Bern rental experience:
Get the most from your rental home budget:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To book the most suitable rental within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area visitor guides that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting the perfect vacation rental in Atlantic Beach:
- Select a group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. BREATHTAKING VIEWS/ DIRECT OCEAN FRONT has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your group.
- If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
More considerations:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of problems.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
- During arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
