Our top New Bern rental home tips:
Getting the best rental home value:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is high season in Atlantic Beach. Booking your New Bern vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration you need. A Place At The Beach 369, Oceanside Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is right for your vacation.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a specific New Bern destination you are enamored with, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
During your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many difficulties.
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
