Ruddy Ruck Tavern is a popular spot with the Happy Hour crowd, thanks to a fun pub-style atmosphere and a fantastic waterfront location along Evans Street in the heart of Downtown Morehead City. The menu is causal and varied, with a heavy emphasis on coastal and pub-inspired appetizers. Patrons can fill up on draft beer, (there’s a nice rotating selection), and full plates of nachos, fried calamari, jumbo chicken wings, and crab and spinach dip – a regular favorite.
For main courses, patrons will be treated to a very large selection of salads and sandwiches, which includes nearly a dozen different styles of burger. For something different, try the Pittsburgher -with provolone and French fries on top of the patty - or the Voodoo Killer, with pineapple, red peppers, and roasted Habanero sauce. A large selection of entrees are also available, which include plenty of seafood dishes including pecan flounder, fish tacos, and BBQ shrimp.
Easily appealing to all tastes, (with a handful of vegetarian specialties), Ruddy Ruck Tavern will be a crowd pleaser for visitors who love a hearty meal and a beautiful accompanying waterfront view. Live music may also be seasonally available, and outside seating may be available as well in warm weather.
