Get away from it all and relax in our cavernous 4 bedroom/3 bath beach home in Emerald Isle! This bright and inviting home is located in a cul-de-sac on the sound side of Emerald Isle, NC and only a 5-min. walk to the beach! With plenty of space on 3 floors, 2 decks and a shaded patio area you'll be on "Island time" before you know it!

The space:
This 3 level home has a living area, 2 bedrooms, a full bath and laundry room on the ground floor; the main floor has a beautiful and roomy kitchen, living area, bedroom, and a full bath. The top floor features a sizable bedroom, full bath and sitting area as well as a modest balcony.

Guest access:
You'll have access to the entire home and there's also a dock out back on the canal great for setting off on kayaking or SUP adventures! Be mindful of the water levels at the dock, which rise and fall with the tide. At times, it is too low to put in crafts for paddling and always too shallow for a motorboat.

There's a intelligent TV on the lower level and in the top floor bedroom with WiFi so you'll be able to sign into your own streaming service apps! There are plenty of games and puzzles for rainy days as well as a selection of paperbacks to get lost in!

Important things to note:
-There is parking for a max. of 4 cars (2 on each side). Our home and driveways are on a hill, so please be sure to review the parking instructions. Unfortunately, we can not accommodate parking for boat trailers and the canal behind our home is too shallow for motorboats.

-Absolutely no family pets, events, or smoking allowed!

Strategies to get the best rental experience:

When to visit Emerald Isle & When to reserve a rental home:

  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Emerald Isle. To get the best vacation home for your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Begin by choosing a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Beautiful Sound Side View! Spacious Home- Easy walk to the Beach has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before you book the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is best for your group.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs applied to your invoice.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Advice for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
