How to find the best New Bern rental experience:

When to visit Emerald Isle & When to book:

  • To book the largest rental within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at New Bern restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • In the New Bern area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local New Bern visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Make a plan and pick the best New Bern rental:

  • First, have your family choose date ranges and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Point Emerald A-301, Oceanfront Condo in Emerald Isle, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before reserving your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Tips for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during check in. E-mail the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
