How to find the best Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To get the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at New Bern restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the New Bern area, The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local New Bern visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Finding the perfect rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Start by having your family decide on trip dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beach Life Down, Oceanview Duplex in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your contract.

Advice for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if there is a dispute.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
