Tips for getting the perfect Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:
When to visit Atlantic Beach & When to book:
- To find the best rental within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite New Bern restaurants and activities.
- The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Some owners offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local New Bern area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain discounts for local accommodations and attractions.
Finding the best vacation rental in Atlantic Beach:
- Choose your vacation week and maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Queen Suite-110 - Island Inn of Atlantic Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible online. If not, reach out to the host before you book the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Have a wonderful stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- During check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many difficulties.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to propel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
