How to book the best Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Summer months are high season in the New Bern area. Booking your New Bern vacation rental in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to pick the perfect rental home in the New Bern area:
- Start by choosing your a vacation week and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Oceanside Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC- Anchors Away Unit 4 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Considerations for your stay:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- During check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
