Amish Country comes to the Beach. The Lancaster Park Models were constructed with actual log timbers and are quality-constructed homes. We choose the Sierra model because of the available spaces. There is a Queen size bed in the primary bedroom and bunk beds in a private area; the kids may want to bring their sleeping bags and sleep in the loft, even if they are 20+. There is a full bath—the kitchen and living room open floor plan to make the space look even more broad. The best part of the cabin is its ten-foot-deep covered front porch. The outside looks rustic, but once you step inside, you are at the Beach with the décor. You will want to spend a lot of time watching the marina boats come and go along with the yachts on the Intracoastal waterway. There is a table that seats four and a kitchen bar for four more folks to sit and dine. Don't want to prepare? Historic Beaufort, NC. is just 5 miles away had has top-rated eateries according to Trip Advisor. Beaufort Waterway Park is a 50+ campground which means at least one person in the RV/Cabin is supposed to be 50+.

Rental booking tips and tricks:
Getting the most from your rental home budget:
- June, July, and August are high season in the New Bern area. To find the best value, shift your family's New Bern vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local New Bern visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Start by selecting trip dates and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 10x10 porch, pet-friendly, and close to downtown Beaufort has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our New Bern vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your trip.
- If there's a particular New Bern beach you crave, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Note any issues with the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
