Our top New Bern rental booking tips:

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Atlantic Beach. Booking your New Bern vacation home in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply New Bern area travel guides which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • First, have your family select trip dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. King Suite-Unit 303 - Island Inn Atlantic Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or could be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a certain New Bern attraction you love, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Additional considerations:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your stay, note any problem areas during arrival. Contact the property manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great time? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
