Tips for getting the best Atlantic Beach vacation property experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Atlantic Beach rental home:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Atlantic Beach. Reserve your vacation in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • In the New Bern area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Some property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local New Bern visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Planning, selecting, and booking the right New Bern rental home:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. "Sun-Kissed" Gorgeous ocean and sound views. Community oceanfront pool! has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property owner before booking the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what is right for your group.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • To make sure damages are not linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. message the host right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.

  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
