Appreciate second to none vistas of Bogue Sound with your whole family. Fish or boat from your private dock. Take in the sunset from one of three decks overlooking the water. With a 5 min. bicycle ride to the beach you can savor both the beach and the sound. Decorated with colorful beach decor throughout, this home is warm and inviting. With ample parking for 6 to 8 cars and a boat this home is really special and one of kind.
The kitchen was designed to resemble the cabin of a sportfishing boat and the rest of the home is decorated with an fashonable coastal touch. The master bath floor is cork. There is a roomy outside shower with a bench that has a mounted surfboard inside. There are two living areas, both with flat screen tv's and there are tv's in every bedroom expect the bunk room. An air bed can be utilized in the down stairs living area to sleep a total 12 guest.
There is a private dock with a cleaning station. You can dock your boat behind the boat lift on the left side only. The right side of the dock is not available for docking. It can be a little cumbersome if you are keeping your boat in the water for long periods of time. The boat lift can be added for an additional upfront $500/fee no matter the length of stay. The lift and dock is limited to 23' and under boats. I will personally meet you and review the operating instructions for the lift if added before unlocking the lift. The lift is currently set up for a 21' center console. The back yard is fenced in for your family pets. There is a sandbar that is visible at low tide directly across from the home that is conveniently swimmable. This is one of my family's favorite things to do. On the sandbar you can find many shells and interesting creatures. Make sure you don't miss the sunsets from one of the 3 back decks! The garage is kept locked as owner storage.

Strategies to get the perfect New Bern rental experience:
Sticking to your rental home budget:
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- To get the largest rental within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply New Bern area travel guide magazines that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Narrow your Search:
- First, have your family commit to trip dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Charm and Breathtaking Views w\/Private Dock has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible online. If not, email or call the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is suitable for your family.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas during arrival. message the property manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
