Strategies to get the optimal vacation rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Atlantic Beach. To get the most suitable rental within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area visitor guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to select the perfect rental in Atlantic Beach:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Carolina Can ~ ????? 3 Story Family Home ???? 1 row back with amazing ocean views ???? has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If not, email the property owner before you book the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation.
- Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the property manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
