Dune features its own private beachfront deck with a boardwalk down to the beach. The home in 2021 and have made numerous updates over the last two years.

LIVING SPACES
Since Dune was a duplex in the past, there are two living rooms. Each one has intelligent TVs equipped with Roku and Chromecast for streaming your favorite content. There's a PS4 and a Wii with games for rainy days too. Each side of the home also has a dining space for morning coffee, family feasts, and game nights. There is only one kitchen now. Dune is a comfortable mix of midcentury pieces and up-cycled beachy furnishings. 'Ultimately' we tried to give this one-level home a modern take on a late 60s surf shack.

The pantry has a collection of herbs and spices for your dinners in.

Our top Emerald Isle rental property booking tips and tricks:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Summer time is high season in the New Bern area. Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring months is a great way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
  • In the New Bern area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many rental management companies supply New Bern area visitors guide magazines which include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose the perfect vacation home:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. The ultimate OCEANFRONT bungalow close to everything has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking websites. If not, email the host before you book the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is right for your vacation family.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Upon check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to compel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
