- Summertime is high season in Atlantic Beach. Booking in Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.

- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
