Just refurbished!!

Our oceanfront home is a sanctuary-a place to relax, relax, and rejuvenate. No better way to start your day than to listen to the waves & feel the ocean breezes!

Each room has been uniquely styled in cool calming colors-Nothing takes away from the Atlantic ocean with all its ever changing colors of ocean & sky!

Our home is set up with a reverse floor plan to maximize the view-triple deck doors, window allow vistas from many sides. The main living area on the top floor includes comfortable seating, dining area for 8 plus 2 at our dolphin table , and entirely equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances.. A queen bedroom with ocean view plus tub/shower combo are on this floor too.

The middle floor hosts the oceanfront master bedroom with en suite bath complete with Jacuzzi tub, separate shower and pretty oceanview from the tub.

There are 2 other bedrooms on this floor-both with queen beds. Each bedroom has an ocean view. Another bath is on this floor with tub/shower combo.

The first floor has our welcoming entry, washer & dryer in its own closet and fifth bedroom with bunk beds and daybed/trundle bed combo.

The top oceanfront deck outside the main living area has a bistro dining table with 4 chairs. The top deck also has 2 rockers & 2 lounge chairs. The second deck outside the oceanfront master bedroom also has Adirondack chairs to sit in and watch the waves & feel the ocean breezes-so comfortable!

Did we mention the oceanfront outdoor shower area-like none other! We have a sitting area with 2 rockers, & unique flower garden area plus you can hear the ocean waves as you shower! Great place to clean up after leaving the beach. (foot wash available on the private walkway too)

Since we are a duplex, we have designated parking for 4-5 cars (one car garage). Charcoal grille, a few beach chairs, & kids' beach toys are stored here for your use as well.

The main living area has a 50" intelligent TV. The master bedroom has its own 43"intelligent TV. Free high-speed WiFi is installed for your use too.

We are located directly on the Atlantic Ocean with spectacular vistas of sunrises in the east and sunsets in the west. No Wake Zone East provides all the needed amenities plus those that only God can provide . . . again the sunrises and sunsets, the smell of the salt air, handsome waves, soft sand, pelican fly-overs, and the bountiful and unique shells that wash up on shore.

Every time of the year is special and there is no bad day at the beach. We've appreciated the strong winds and powerful waves during tropical storms, the awe-inspiring hot days of summer, and the calming cool days of autumn. The mere sound of the ocean waves brings a calmness to weary travelers. It's nice to go to sleep and wake up to the steady rhythm of the Atlantic Ocean.

Strategies for getting the best Emerald Isle vacation rental experience:

When to visit Emerald Isle & When to book:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best value, consider changing your family's New Bern trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area travel guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing the best vacation home:

  • Choose vacation week and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Oceanfront Sanctuary-Relax & Recharge-5BR 3BA -Great Island Location! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. If not, call the host before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what is best for your vacation family.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the property manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many problems.
  • Be respectful. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
