Beaufort rental property booking tips:
When to visit Beaufort & When to book:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Beaufort. To find the best vacation home for your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local New Bern visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.
Selecting the best rental home in the New Bern area:
- Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Beaufort Townhome w\/ Game Room: 8 Mi to Beaches! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is best for your vacation.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your agreement.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
During your stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many difficulties.
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the host immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be respectful. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
