Getting the best Beaufort vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the best value, shift your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your search:

  • Begin by selecting a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. New Beaufort home at Beau Coast Retreat for ultimate comfort and fun! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Does your family require specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.

During your stay:

  • Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. text the host immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
