Our top Atlantic Beach rental home booking tips:

Cost saving strategies:

  • The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
  • Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply New Bern area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting the best rental in the New Bern area:

  • Begin by choosing the best vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Blue Water D105; Oceanview condo, Atlantic Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the host before you reserve your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Visiting for a single event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Tips for your stay:

  • Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • During arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
