How to find the best Atlantic Beach rental home experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • In the New Bern area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the New Bern area. Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose the perfect vacation home:

  • Choose vacation week and max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. OCEANSIDE CONDO WITH GREAT DECK VIEWS has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your family.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
  • Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • During check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
