How to book the best New Bern vacation property experience:

When to book a New Bern rental & When to go:

  • To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning and choosing the best New Bern vacation home:

  • Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Best View On The Beach! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your trip.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

During your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • At Check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
