Strategies to get the best Atlantic Beach vacation home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Reserve your New Bern vacation home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- In the New Bern area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area visitor guides that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Finding the best rental in Atlantic Beach:
- First, have your group choose date ranges and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Oceanside Condo-Southwinds G16 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our New Bern rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking websites. If not, contact the host before you reserve the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
