Booking the best Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:
When to visit Atlantic Beach & When to reserve a Atlantic Beach rental home:
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the largest rental home within budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the perfect vacation home in the New Bern area:
- Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Beach Villa with Tropical Pool has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If not, email or call the property manager before booking the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.

- Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
During your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. message the rental manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take video of the property to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to inspire new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home.
