This property is located in a peaceful neighborhood with a private walkway to beach access. The beach access is roughly a 5 min. walk and there is a beach cart on the first floor in the closet for beach towels, chairs, and beach toys.

Our family beach home is available for your next beach vacation! Featuring 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms on three levels to accommodate your family. Complete with Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher, Microwave, 4 TV’s, outdoor shower, and gas grille. Also, cavernous open and covered decks with furnishings. The top level features a den with a Queen Sleeper Couch and half bath .

Reverse floor plan with open concept, living/dining on top floor (3rd level). Mid level features 3 bedrooms; one with Queen and full private bath. Savor the jack and jill full bath with 2 bedrooms, each with 2 twins on this level. Ground level with exterior access is Queen bed with full bath and roomy sitting area. Beach access is located at the end of the street. Bikes are a great way to get around the Island on the paved, Town wide Bicycle/Walking Path. Public Boat launch and dock area is just a short walk away for boating or taking in gorgeous sunsets on the Sound! New decks on each level, 2017. It is time you put your feet in the sand, relax and savor some “Simple Pleasures”!

When to visit & When to reserve a New Bern rental home:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the New Bern area. To get the largest vacation home within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite New Bern restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.

Tips to have a smooth stay:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • At Check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental.
