Tips and Tricks to get the perfect New Bern rental experience:
Getting the best rental home value:
- Summer time is high season in Atlantic Beach. To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at New Bern restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local New Bern visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Make a plan and pick the rightrental:
- First, have your group select the best dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. 2 Br 2 Bath Condo Oceanfront Resort 2 Pools & Water Slide has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your family.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of concerns.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
- When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
