About this Property

  • Cottage

Out on the peninsula about 15 mins. to Beaufort township. It's one of America's oldest settlements and was voted Finest Modest Town in US 2017. The home itself is very tidy with all amenities and super-fast Wi-Fi (unlimited). So, if you have to do a little business you can. A printer is also on hand for any printing. The dock is ideal for fishing and crabbing, and i also have a modest private sandy beach for swimming. It's a super safe neighborhood, and the neighbors are most helpful. I will be adding cards and board games for those rainy days. I have a modest collection of books that you can savor as well. I have left instructions on how to operate the TV: cable, Amazon, and Apple TV. It's worth mentioning that Beaufort was the first town to do Ghost Tours, and it's rather famed, so be sure to check it out.
ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING---tks

Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation property experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular New Bern attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many management companies supply New Bern area travel guides that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose the best vacation rental in Beaufort:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and choose a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Waterfront cottage with dock & kayaks has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you reserve the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a certain New Bern destination you love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. text the property manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
