How to book the best Atlantic Beach vacation home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Atlantic Beach. To book the most suitable rental within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, property management companies supply New Bern area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing and booking the perfectvacation home:

  • To start, have your group agree to the best dates and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Third-row beach cottage with deck, grill, washer\/dryer & screened porch has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or applied to your agreement.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Tips for your stay:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect your property!
  • During check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
