The town of Beaufort-by-the-Sea has been a favorite for centuries. From long-ago sailors who dropped anchor in Beaufort Inlet after a wearying voyage, to tourists from near and far who long to experience the modest-town vibe of this southern town, to Blackbeard himself, who famously hung out in these parts after pillaging and treasure seeking on the open sea.

This cozy home on Gordon Street, Trails End, is in keeping with the overall appeal of historic Beaufort, with 3 bedrooms, and 1.5 baths; this home has plenty of room to sleep the whole family! Unwind on the porch while sipping your coffee and soaking up the elegant surroundings.

Stroll along Taylor’s Creek, and watch for ferry boats, dolphins, and wild horses across the waterway, visit downtown's stores and art galleries, and savor the many delicious eateries, bars and cafes. Life couldn’t be more handsome when you happen to be in Beaufort!

Booking the best Beaufort vacation property experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your New Bern rental home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
