A single family home provides more privacy and more room vs a condo with hordes of people all around. A home also provides social distancing from other families when compared with a condo setting, an important consideration these days. This private home is set on a half+ acre corner lot in the maritime forest of Pine Knoll Shores. The enormous open great room is the ideal place for family to gather, affording a charming view of Bogue Sound. The full wall of glass doors along the back provide exceptional water vistas. If you're patient, you may see dolphin swimming by! Upscale furnishings and an exceptionally calming ambiance in a peaceful area.
Savor your beach days via the community private (gate card supplied) beach access, with seating and showers. There are also multiple community sound front parks close by. We savor going up to the sound front park right up the street to go canoeing (two canoes included with the rental, and they are located right by the floating dock launch) or sit out on the pier and watch the handsome sunsets. What a incredible way to end the day.
The home layout is 3/3 and single level, so no staircase for older family members to climb. Bring your older parents or grandparents, no problem. Store all of your beach toys in the garage. There is ample parking... room for up to 8 cars in the driveway and two parking pads.
Conveniences include:
*High speed WiFi
*Washer/dryer
*Outdoor shower, hot and cold
*Propane Grille
*Hammock
*5' swing out front

Nicely located, you are only mins. away from all the attractions the area has to offer. Examples include Fort Macon State Park up at the inlet, only 5 miles/ the NC Aquarium at PKS only 3 miles away/ water taxis to the ponies at Shackleford Banks and to the pretty vistas atop Cape Lookout Lighthouse/ boat, jetski and kayak units/ nature trails (in PKS, Atlantic Beach and Fort Macon)/ bumper boats, go carts and putt putt/ shopping on the Beaufort waterfront/ parasailing/ fishing (in the surf, off the piers, or off one of the pretty charter boats on the waterfront)/AB Town Park with playground, swingsets, basketball, putt putt, splashpad, and skateboarding/Movie theatre/laser tag/pizza/grocery store and the best ice cream on the beach 2 miles away. All of these activities are only a few mins. away. Or you can bring your own boat and cruise over to Morehead, Beaufort or Cape Lookout. There are wet slips available at the local marina just five mins. up the road, as well as private (PKS) and public boat ramps close by. Or get some exercise paddling either of the two supplied canoes from the sound front park. If you're a golfer, the home is located right on a fairway of the Country Club of the Crystal Coast, which just received a major makeover. So bring your clubs and appreciate our gorgeous golf course. There definitely is no shortage of activities right at your doorstep. Or you can simply sit back on the deck or stone patio and watch the boats going by on the Intercoastal Waterway.
Note: I do have a security camera inside, but only in the garage, not inside the home itself. There are also two security cams outside, one in the front yard and one in the back yard. These are for security when the home is unoccupied, and are turned off whenever guests are staying.
Our beach home is a relaxing, peaceful place ideal for a memorable family vacation. We appreciate the area. Come give North Carolina's Crystal Coast and our home a try. I know you'll adore it here, and you'll want to return.

Finding the best Pine Knoll Shores rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental:
- Summer is high season in the New Bern area. To find the best value, change your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some owners offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local New Bern visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to choose and book a perfect New Bern rental home:
- Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Private Home set in Maritime Forest with Wonderful Water Views has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our New Bern rentals search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you book the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Does your family require unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or applied to your contract.
Tips for a smooth stay:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Call the host immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
