Hungry visitors in the Morehead City area who love a little southern flavor will want to plan a stop at this hidden gem of an eatery where the barbecue steals the show. Social Q Smokehouse uses high-quality meats, like USDA Prime briskets, pork shoulders, and house-made sausages, to create incredible and casual meals that are brimming with flavor in every bite.

Social Q Smokehouse is the latest passion project of Chef Clarke Merrell and the 81 Hospitality team, and the chefs behind this eatery pay attention to the quality and application of smoke as much as any other ingredient in the kitchen. The barbecue-centric menu borrows flavors and styles from a range of global cuisines, from Texas-style brisket to NC-style pork BBQ, to Jamaican jerk chicken and Korean BBQ ribs.

We are able to cater to individuals who are in the mood for a filling lunch or dinner, and offering bulk meats and sides for a full meal to enjoy at home, Social Q Smokehouse has hungry families covered with a wide array of meats and tempting side dishes that highlight the best of southern cuisine.

Perfect for all southern tastebuds, Social Q Smokehouse takes the art of Down East barbecue to a new level.
