Big Pelican is a single family, ocean front home! With vaulted ceilings and great ocean vistas from the wall of ocean front windows, this one level beach home is a rare find. Ocean font deck that is covered and uncovered, as well as a street side covered porch with fans and rocking chairs, and a grille! Big Pelican is dog friendly (2 max) with a fee of $250.00 per dog.

Level One: Up the exterior stairs to the main entry door, you’ll enter the home into the open floor plan of the kitchen, dining area, and living areas. The kitchen has granite countertops, refreshed appliances, and is entirely supplied. There is seating for 4 at the kitchen bar seating for 10 at the dining table. There are 2 living areas- one of the areas has a Roku TV, while the other area is great for R&R. The washer and dryer is located in a closet off of the great room. The great room is in the middle of the floor plan. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms on each side of the home. Bedrooms are in order from East to West.

Bedroom 2 has two sets of bunk beds (sleeps4).

Bedrooms 1 and 2 would share a full bathroom with a tub/shower.

Bedroom 3 is ocean front with a queen bed, Roku TV, and a full private bathroom with a stand-up shower.

Bedroom 5 has a king bed and a Roku TV.

Bathrooms 4 and 5 would share a full bathroom with a tub/shower.

Big Pelican rents weekly only (Saturday-Saturday). Linens (sheets/towels) are supplied with weekly reservations. $200.00 non-returnable pet fee per Dog. NO SMOKING!

About the Area

Located in Emerald Isle, this vacation home is on the beach. Flatwaters Paddling and Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf and Raceway are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Beach Wheels Bike Rental and Emerald Plantation. Emerald Isle Adventures and The Sweet Spot are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.

  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
