Frank’s Pizza & Subs is a simple and tasty restaurant that’s found off the beaten path in the inland town of Newport. Offering a small dining area with booths and a casual atmosphere, as well as take-out and delivery service, this pizza joint is a convenient choice for easy-going Italian fare just off the beach.
The menu has a little bit of everything, with a highlight on brick oven pizza. There are roughly twenty different toppings to choose from to customize a 14” or 16” pie, as well as a few specialty pizzas, like the Meat Lovers pizza, the Vegetarian Pizza, and the gourmet Pizza Florentine with grilled chicken, spinach and mushrooms. While pizza is probably the most popular option, the menu also has an array of American and Italian options including salads and appetizers, hot and cold subs, a variety of burgers, Stromboli and calzones, and filling pasta entrees like baked stuffed shells and tortellini alfredo. There’s also a special kids menu, and a small selection of desserts which includes cannoli and cheesecake. Catering is also available for larger parties.
Fast and able to fulfill veritably craving, Frank’s Pizza & Subs is a good option for Newport visitors who want to forego the cooking while enjoying a filling and family-friendly meal.
