Sticking to a budget:
- The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are high season in Emerald Isle. Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
Know before you go:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
