Our top Beaufort rental property booking tips:
Money saving strategies:
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the New Bern area. Booking your New Bern vacation home in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
- Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local New Bern area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.
Selecting the best vacation rental in Beaufort:
- Select dates and max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Beautiful view of Beaufort, Carrot/Shackleford Isle, Cape Lookout and Ft. Macon has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property owner before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or applied to your contract.
- If there's a specific New Bern beach you love, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
More tips for your stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental while you are away. Protect your property!
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great reviews to propel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
