Atlantic Beach rental property booking tips:
Finding your perfect rental:
- To get the best value, try shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local New Bern area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Selecting the perfect rental home:
- Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Pet Friendly Oceanside Duplex-Barefoot East has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
Tips for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- At Check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to drive future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
