Emerald Isle rental home booking tips:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • Summer time is high season in Emerald Isle. Book your New Bern vacation in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
