Strategies for getting the best Indian Beach vacation property experience:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Indian Beach. To get the best value, consider changing your family's New Bern vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area visitor guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to pick the best vacation home:

  • Choose your vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Ocean Club G301, Oceanfront Condo in Indian Beach, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to work out which bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • If there's an individual New Bern beach you are enamored with, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.

Advice for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • At Check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many difficulties.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
