Getting the best Indian Beach vacation property experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the largest rental home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the New Bern area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local New Bern visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on local shops and restaurants.

Make a plan and choose the perfect New Bern vacation home:

  • First, have your family commit to dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Summer Winds 115, Oceanfront Condo in Indian Beach, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property owner before you book the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what is best for your vacation.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Additional considerations:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the host immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
