Oceanside (5 min Walk/1 min Golf Cart ride), House is Charming, Clean, Cozy, Open Floor Plan with Living Area in Front and Bedrooms in Back, Kitchen Area has Plenty of Seating with Table for 6 and Counter Bar for 4, Separate Game/TV Room (man cave, kids play, movie room, etc), Generous Deck that is West Facing so Plenty of Sunshine, Sizable Screened Patio with Comfortable Seating, Roomy Inside and Outside to Unwind/Savor, Neighborhood is Oceanside, Quiet, and Tucked Away off Coast Guard Road, Owner Golf Cart Available for simple Access to the Beach and Venturing Throughout the Neighborhood.

OPTIONAL AMENITIES:
• Professional Linen Service (details at bottom) - $100 for duration of stay.
• Pet Dog(s) - $125 for duration of stay.
• Golf Cart Rental - $45 per day or $295 per week

INSIDE: The home is a very comfortable with a practical split/open floor plan. Living area in front having den and kitchen with vaulted ceilings and tons of natural light. The kitchen area is great for entertaining with overall seating for 10 (6 at kitchen table & 4 at long kitchen counter). In back, 3 bedrooms (all queens), 2 full baths and laundry room (washer/dryer/shelving/coat hanger). A separate GAME/TV room newly added to enhance the vacation experience!!! Throughout the home it's gorgeously decorated with beach colors/shabby chic, comfortable/pleasant furnishings, wood/tile floors (NO carpet). Wall Mounted HD TVs and Paddle Fans in every room, WIFI, Cable. Guests provide own linens unless ask for the linen service (see below for details).

Grand Screened Patio on the side of the home for the ultimate relaxation (ocean sounds at nighttime are marvelous). Private hot/cold shower, Park Style Grille, Plenty of space in yard and under home for activities.

THE PROPERTY: 5 min walk to the beach or 1 min Golf Cart ride!
• Enclosed private hot/cold outside shower and separate dressing area conveniently located next to the back steps.
• Charcoal park-style grille in private backyard next to sand dune for the ultimate seclusion.
• Generous covered area underneath the bungalow has many uses: parking, fun area for activities, dining (set of four table/chairs supplied), fish cleaning station, kids table and just relaxing on the porch swing.
• Cavernous yard for outdoor activities, games, dog runs, etc.
• Double wide driveway for ample parking

THE NEIGHBORHOOD: "Deerhorn Dunes", is located in a gorgeous peaceful wooded community with rolling dunes throughout, it's very peaceful day/nighttime. It's located off Coast Guard Road thus close to Emerald Isle shopping/eateries/entertainment plus painless/fast access to the mainland (bypass Emerald Isle summer and holiday traffic). There are two empty wooded tons across the street creating plenty of privacy/peaceful. Excellent location for bicycle riding along the neighborhood beach road and easy/quick access to Emerald Isle's miles of bicycle paths.

*LINEN SERVICE: Optional service through a professional linen company. $100 for 3 queen beds and 1 queen couch bed. I'm making this service optional to allow flexibility since most bring their own.

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Emerald Isle. Book your New Bern vacation home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is right for your trip.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a particular New Bern destination you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.

  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to inspire future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback.
