The fenced backyard features a gas grille and a shaded porch hangout area, plus two enclosed hot/cold outdoor showers to rinse off after beach days.

Tips and Tricks to get the perfect vacation property experience:
Getting the best value:
- Summer time is high season in the New Bern area. Booking your New Bern vacation rental in Fall or Spring is a good way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- In the New Bern area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local New Bern area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Begin by selecting your vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Dogs OK! Steps away from the beach ~ 4BR! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the host before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's an individual New Bern beach you love, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- During check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
