Come stay at our freshly refreshed oceanfront home in the fashionable Ocean Oaks neighborhood at Emerald Isle. We offer a wrap-around ocean view from the kitchen and living area, along with ocean-facing windows in each of our 3 bedrooms.

Our goal is to make your family feel welcome in the cleanest rental you've ever experienced. After Hurricane Florence damage, we gutted the home so that everything is new, from the walls and floor to the kitchen appliances and tile bathrooms. Each bedroom features Casper beds, spa sheets, and a intelligent TV. Our kitchen comes well-outfitted, and we include your basic oils, spices, condiments, detergents, and paper goods with your rental.

Outside, sun yourself on the upper deck, or grab a spot in the shade on our lower deck. We have an enclosed outdoor shower with a changing area for those who like to feel the breeze. Beach chairs and a bucket of toys are supplied.

Tips to get the optimal New Bern vacation rental experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • Reserve your rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the New Bern area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local New Bern visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Choose your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Remodeled Oceanfront Duplex in Quiet Ocean Oaks near the Point has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the host before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a certain New Bern attraction you love, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs may be applied to your contract.

Additional considerations:

  • Get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • During arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
