How to get the best New Bern rental home experience:
Getting the most from your rental home budget:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are high season in Atlantic Beach. Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
How to pick the perfect vacation rental in Atlantic Beach:
- First and foremost, have your group choose the best dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Maritime West Unit C-33-Ocean Front Condo has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Know before you go:
- Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- During check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
