Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Beaufort rental home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Summer time is high season in Beaufort. Booking your vacation home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many management companies supply New Bern area travel guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Start by choosing a vacation week and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Upscale Bungalow - 129 Craven Street\n300 feet from Beaufort Waterfront has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property manager before reserving your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Additional considerations:
- Add the host's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
- Upon arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
